As the much-awaited Orientation Programme began, the campus filled with joy and excitement for the new batch of students, their seniors, and the faculty of JAIN College, VV Puram. The 12th of June, 2024, marked the beginning of the students’ new academic journey with us.
The three-day Orientation Programme was an enlightening experience for the I PUC students meticulously planned by the administration to equip them with the knowledge and resources required for their academic journey.
Day 1: The first day began with welcoming the new batch with vibrant events like an invocation song and a dance performance. A special tribute was paid to the previous year's academic achievers for their outstanding performance. The students were then introduced to the subjects and various combinations offered. Key figures such as the Principal, Vice Principal and the Heads of the Departments were introduced to understand their line of communication. An academic year planner and curriculum overview were also presented to the students.
Day 2: The day commenced with students introducing themselves to their peers facilitating interactions. The students were given in-depth information on the core subjects and the objectives of each discipline. Subject faculties were introduced to ensure familiarity and build rapport that can help students throughout their academic journey. The seniors also shared their experiences and insights into the chosen subjects, providing invaluable advice.
Day 3: The final day of the Orientation Programme focused on extracurricular engagement. Students were introduced to the different clubs that they could be a part of, such as Rangamilana, Cinema Scapes, and Literary and Journalism Club. They also highlighted the additional courses like Research Literacy, General Aptitude, Perspectives, and Self-Management enriching students’ experiences.
By providing a comprehensive overview of the academic expectations, extracurriculars and campus life, the programme equipped students with the necessary information to begin their new journey with confidence and enthusiasm.
