KALAKRITI ’24: A Celebration of Talent and Culture

The Humanities Department of JAIN College successfully organised the much-anticipated intercollegiate fest, KALAKRITI ’24, with the theme centred around the rich and diverse culture of the Indian Subcontinent. The fest aimed to provide a platform for students from various colleges to showcase their talents and engage in creative competitions inspired by humanities subjects. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation, and the overall execution was seamless, making KALAKRITI ’24 a grand success.

KALAKRITI ’24 commenced with a solid turnout of participants and spectators. The registration process was smooth, and the participants were eager to showcase their abilities across a variety of events. Over 90 students registered on the first day, with additional on-spot registrations adding to the excitement of the day.

The first day featured 4 off-stage events, all linked to the theme of the Indian subcontinent. These competitions were completed within half a day and judged by internal faculty members from JAIN College, ensuring fairness and expertise in evaluating the performances.

Day two of KALAKRITI ’24 featured the most awaited on-stage events, which showcased the diverse talents of the students. The competitions highlighted a range of skills, including music, dance, theatre, and public speaking. The audience turnout increased significantly on the second day, with 150+ registrations (including prior and on-spot entries).

The overall performance of Christ Junior College was outstanding, securing them the prestigious Best College Award. The college was awarded a cash prize of ?10,000 for their collective efforts across multiple events.

KALAKRITI ’24 was a resounding success, offering students a dynamic platform to explore and showcase their talents. The event not only celebrated the theme of the Indian subcontinent but also promoted creativity, teamwork, and healthy competition among students. From the smooth execution of off-stage events to the grandeur of the main stage performances, KALAKRITI ’24 demonstrated the organisational capabilities of the Humanities Department and provided a space for budding talents to shine.

The participation of over 200 students across two days, the enthusiasm of the audience, and the support of both internal and external judges contributed to the fest's overall success. KALAKRITI ’24 has set a benchmark for future intercollegiate fests, and we look forward to more such opportunities to celebrate student talent and creativity.
