Every year the Department of Samskrta conducts a unique OBL (Outbound Learning) programme where students get exposure to understanding our rich culture and ethos followed by our ancestors. This time the department conducted YAANA to Hampi, Aihole, Pattadakallu, Mahakoota, and Badami from 21 December to 24 December 2022.
Around 50 students were taken to these destinations by the Head of the Department Dr. Suneel K.S., where students learnt about ancient India's advanced architecture. Dr. Suneel explained that the temples were not only a hub of scripture learning but also science laboratories. In Aihole students witnessed the beauty of temple complexes as well as patterns of Monolithic idols. Incredible heritage site Hampi mesmerised the students with the ruins of astonishing temples and carvings. The musical pillars and the stone chariot indeed made the students spellbound. At Badami, the Cave temples welcomed the students with magnificent paintings and idols. Overall the trip was a memorable excursion that took the students into a divine trance.
