Investiture Ceremony
In the realm of academia, the Investiture Ceremony holds a special place, symbolising the dawn of a new era in leadership. It serves as a testament to the common spirit and goals of both students and educators. As the curtains of JAIN College's Inaugural Investiture Ceremony rose on the 12th of July 2023, the air was charged with anticipation and promise. The event was organised with enthusiasm by the students supported by the Humanities department. Embracing the essence of leadership, Ralph Waldo Emerson once remarked, "Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail." This quote resonates with the spirit of our Investiture Ceremony, where young leaders step forward to pave their own paths, leaving an indelible mark on JAIN College's journey of growth and excellence.
Mr. Jagadish, the Head of the Humanities Department, captivated the students as he delved into an interesting narrative of the Investiture Ceremony. In his enlightening speech, he unveiled the ceremony's prime significance to be the embracement of new leadership while retaining an existing legacy. The event then proceeded to address the accomplishments achieved by the former Student Council during the academic year 2022-2023.
The new Constituent Assembly was formally introduced to the entire gathering. Following the introduction, the members were individually presented with Certificates of Appreciation by both the Head of the Department and the Principal, acknowledging their dedication and contributions. To solidify their commitment, the Constitution drafted by the Student Council was then released, symbolising the collective aspirations and guiding principles of the Council.
Subsequently, the distribution of badges took place, with the honour being bestowed upon the students by Dr. S N Nataraj, Principal, JAIN College, V V Puram, and Ms. Deepa, Head of Communications and Operations, Knowledgeum. This ceremonial act marked the official recognition of their roles within the Student Council. Both the Core Council members and the Judiciary members solemnly took an oath, pledging their commitment towards their respective duties and responsibilities.
As the Investiture Ceremony drew closer to its end, the Principal, Dr. SN Nataraj addressed the gathering, delivering a speech that summarised the significance of the occasion. His words resonated with inspiration and encouragement, emphasising the potential of the Student Council and its potential to make a positive impact within the college community.
To conclude the Investiture Ceremony on a grateful note, Mr. Sudhanshu stepped forward to deliver the vote of thanks. He expressed his heartfelt appreciation to all those who contributed to the planning and success of the event. His words served as a reminder of the collective efforts that made the First Investiture Ceremony a memorable and meaningful occasion.
