The Pre-university course (PUC) is a focused programme specially designed to teach students important skills that will prepare them for college. In the Science programme, a highly sought subject combination is the Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Computer Science (PCMC) combination. It leads to many lucrative career opportunities in Information technology, computer science, engineering, and AI/ Robotics to name a few. In PUC Science with PCMC combination, a student studies 6 subjects- English, a secondary language (Hindi, Kannada, or Sanskrit), 3 core subjects, and one optional subject. Under the PCMC course combination, you study Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Computer Science (PCMC). In this, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are compulsory core subjects and Computer Science is the elective subject. The syllabus for the four subjects in the course is as follows -
